Porcelain Crowns in a Single Visit!

New technology now provides metal free crowns in one appointment! Dr. Douglas Phillips has added the latest version of dental technology, CEREC 3D, which uses computerized precision to create porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays – in just one visit. Patients who have already experienced the advantages of CEREC 3D are so pleased since CEREC eliminates the need for a second appointment. There is no temporary to wear while the final restoration is being prepared, which often takes weeks. Patients also spend less time in treatment and have up to 50% less numbing requirements. Dr. Phillips adds, “Shade matching is precise with results that give a look, feel, and durability that is uncompromised.”

CEREC is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Dr. Phillips uses the technology’s 3-D infrared camera and incorporates it with the technology's computerization to process precision data regarding the height, width and depth needed for the prepared tooth. Once entered into CEREC 3D, the patient comfortably relaxes as the porcelain crown or inlay is created, which is ready for placement immediately.
