   n honors graduate of the Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Douglas Phillips completed a General Practice Residency in the U. S. Air Force in 1980. After service, he established a private practice in Arkansas and relocated to Asheville in 1998. During his practice, Dr. Phillips has continually broadened his skills in esthetic and restorative dentistry through completion of numerous, advanced courses. Additionally, he completed extensive training at the world renowned Misch Implant Institute, and is a graduate of their advanced training in implant dentistry.
Dr. Phillips is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics,American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the North Carolina Dental Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Magnolia Pankey Study Club, a national dental organization that fosters ongoing progression in patient care.
Staff members have been selected for their compatible commitment to patient care and excellent skill level. Together with Dr. Phillips, they strive to create a positive experience at each visit.

A graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Institute, Shirley has worked in the dental field for over 25 years, and has been with Dr. Phillips since he began his practice in Asheville in 1998. She enjoys spending free time with her husband and adult son playing the challenging game of golf.

An Asheville native, Maria has worked with Dr. Phillips since 2002. She graduated from UNC-Asheville with BS in Business Management-Administration. She and her husband have two children. When not in the office, she enjoys family time, the outdoors, sports, and cooking shows (“because I’m not a great cook!”).

A graduate of the Dental Hygiene program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Institute, Linda is a familiar face to most of Dr. Phillips’ patients, having been with the practice since 1999. When not cleaning and brightening smiles, Linda enjoys cooking, tennis, golf and laughing with her son.

A graduate of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, majoring in Dental Assisting, Tonia was attracted to the dental field because of its fascinating changes made possible through technology and advanced materials and techniques. She has especially taken an interest in esthetic procedures that enable people to improve their appearance. Favorite pursuits are sewing, amateur photography, traveling and studying history.

After graduating from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Institute as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2004, Ann joined Dr. Phillips’ practice. She and her husband have four young children and enjoy spending time participating in family activities at church and exploring the region through its many hiking trails.
